Featured Replies

Hi Looking for a new card, I'm wondering which card between the HD6950 1 or 2 Go and the GTX560 is the best to run FSX. I am at this time unable to make a choice after some search. Here are my spcecs : Intel Core i5 2400 3,1 GHzPH67A-UD3-B34Gb PC10666 1333 MHz ( Soon to be 8Gb)Windows 7 Ultimate 6421,5" monitorMy aim is to run the PMDG 747X in fluid way flying online(IVAO) from/to aerosoft sceneries with Rex.Please note that I've tested the HD5850 Vapor-X 1Go on my computer and it was not enough... Any opinion or Experience would be great. Thank youT.

If you weren't happy with a 5850 you won't be much happier with a 6950, that's virtually a sideways "upgrade". In most games the 6950 would beat the 560 but not FSX. Get the 560.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy an overclocked Gigabyte card again, especially if it's cheaper than Zotac which isn't in the same league as far as reliability and engineering capability go.
Zotac which isn't in the same league as far as reliability and engineering capability go.
You say a lot of things... I'm wondering what makes you say this? After three Zotac cards and one motherboard, I've never had a problem over a four year course of time besides a missing I/O plate (shipped for free to me [two day UPS]). On the other hand a Gigabyte board I purchased was DOA last year (+$7 shipping for the RMA YAY!).To the OP. Which one hasA- Better warrantiesB- Better coolingC- Better price when it's said and done (warranty and all)D- Better reviews weighing the aforementionedThose are guidlines to follow. Not hearsay! :Big Grin:Other than that, either card would be okay. I'd only get the ATI if I got a great deal, though. The Nvidias are quieter, cooler, use less power, and show more performance gain when overclocked. Personally I would get the EVGA Superclocked Edition. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610&cm_re=560-_-14-130-610-_-Product (Lifetime limited warranty and free 3DMark 11)Edit, sorry: The Twin Frozr II is an awesome card too, according to reviews by my trusted reviewers. Quieter and cooler which means MSI Afterburner will get that card overclocked nicely
