March 29, 201115 yr Hello Everyone,I keep running into this problem no matter what. Can't find the answer in here so I need help.Had a broken HD so bought a new one. Made a fresh install of Win7 (critical files luckaly backed up) but not FS9 and addons. So I perfomed a "clean instal" of FS9 and all addons.Chain of events:Installation FS9 --> no probs, working fine.Installation PMDG(737NG & 747-400) & PSS B777 --> no probs, working fineInstallation AIRAC 1103 for PMDG&PSS --> as it should install.Startup and loading PMDG&PSS aircraft in FS9 --> no probs. all working fine.FMC PMDG 737 & 747 & PSS B777 shows cycle 1103 installed. When creating a flight however from any (major)airport:No SID's available in FMC from departing airport. No STAR's available in FMC for arrival airport.Very weird and can't plot a flight into the FMC because the lack of SID/STAR's.All help, tips & tricks will be much appreciated! With kind regards,MennoThe Netherlands
March 29, 201115 yr The path to the sid/stars data is under your FS9 folder. Look under your FS9 folder for a PMDG folder and a SIDSTARS folder under that. There should be a number of .txt files, one for each airport that has such data.I can't remember the format of the Navigraph FMC download (if that's what you use). If it is an .exe installer in Win 7 you need to run it by right clicking on it and select the property to run as admin. If it is an auto install and gets your FS9 path from the registry check your registry entry with this free tool from Flight 1 also running it with Run As Admin properties by right clicking on it:http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryFSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB)If it is .zip file provided with .txt files you may need to be an admin type user to unzip it into the folder mentioned. You may also need but it should not be necessary to set up a shortcut to FS and in the advanced properties set FS to Run As Admin.See if this helps.Welcome to Win 7 protection. FYI - Turning off UAC in Win 7 does not turn off all Win 7 user access security. If you still have problems post here on AVSIM in the PMDG forum General Section since this folder arrangement is common to many of their models.
