Which resumeable d/l program?

Featured Replies

I'm after a download program that allows resumeable d/l's and preferably acceleration as well. What do you recommend?Cheers

Star downloader was recommended here at Avsim a month or so ago. I've been very pleased with it. I'm sorry I don't have a link, but search the news archives and you should find it.BlairCYOW

Avsim news item was on Oct. 5. Url is stardownloader.com (logically enough)

Hi Will,I have used a lot of them, and I dont think you can get much better than Getright, I have been using it for years, and its been a great help.Dan.

Never had a problem with GoZilla.Adam

Howdy,With few exceptions, nearly every free, resumable, d/l'er contains some sort of spyware. If you don't mind that, knock yourself out with DAP, GoZilla, et cetera. If you want one that doesn't (contain spyware), download LeechGet2002, available at www.leechget.net

To my knowledge there is no 'spyware' associated with STAR DOWNLOADER. It is easy to use, flexible, has a logical and clear user interface and there is NO advertising nonesense that bedevils so many of the other downloader utilities on the market. I have used both GoZilla and DAP and of the three much prefer Star Downloader.Mike

I'm with Cap Havoc... Leechget is the way to go. I too have tried a lot of them but this latest version is the best IMHO.

Iv used Getright since verison 3.0 its great... things like GoZilla though free pack a lot of spyware... thats ok if you enjoy stuff downloaded and installed in your system with out you knowing it.just visit http://www.spywareinfo.com to make sure the stuff your putting on your system is non-spyware.
