Hey guys, I applied *******' FSX.cfg configurator tool, and tried the external fps limiter while unlimited in the sim. I configured it correctly but, every time I installed it, I quickly un-installed it because it dropped my frames in the low teens, and without it, I was getting 35 to 40 FPS in the PMDG MD-11. So why the frame-rate hit, am I doing something wrong, anyone else notice this?

Angelo, I have the same issue, and searched for an explanation/solution in the fora endlessly and just gave it up. My framerate drops to 8-10fps. This only happens several minutes into the flight, but it happens reliably and with any aircraft or location. I have a Core 2 Duo and an nVidia 8800 GTS 512.
