November 23, 200322 yr HI Everyone,We're just approaching the tail end of a massive exercise of sending every individual FS2002 SF260 customer information about getting their free upgrade to the FS2004 version.Last night we got to the two thousand mark and by this evening we should have passed 3000 e-mails. Most of them are getting through, but of course some don't because of two reasons: Either customers have an e-mail firewall, or they have changed e-mail addresses. If you reach this evening and have not had an update e-mail, please write to us at [email protected] enclosing if possible your receipt for original purchase or some info which proves you are who you say you are.You will then get the info you need. Please also note that the SF260 update for FS2004 is a complete re-installation, due to the radically different demands of FS2004 compared with FS2002, so you need to place your original SF260 somewhere OUTSIDE the FS2004 folders if you had installed it into to this version. Thanks for your patience, and with your co-operation everyone should have the new version installed within a couple of days at the most.Kind Regards,Rob and Sean at RealAir Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 23, 200322 yr Author Hi Rob,Got mine, thanks. Great stuff.Out of interest, will previous repaints work with this new download or has the model texturing changed at all? Easier to ask than to experiment ....Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
November 23, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Mark,You can still use any repaints you've already downloaded. But, the FS2004 SF-260 has a different folder structure and different entries at the top of the aircraft.cfg file, so the installation instructions that came with the repaint probably won't be much help.If you're used to installing repaints in FS you won't have any trouble in making the necessary changes.all the best,
