What do you think... Upgrading system and FSX with seperate SSD drives... since beginning always flew FSX dx10... but i like the way photos turn out with the mods to DX9 shaders... Which way is one to go? (until Flight is released.) Thanks in advance Steve

Hi Steve,I started with DX10 as well. For me, it was because my card could and was new. I only found that dx10, on my machine, gave just a marginal improvement. I have implemented bojote's fsx.cfg automatic tweaker and recommended settings in my nVidia inspector application for FSX. What had me go back to DX9 was that I started having payware add-ons that were not working properly in DX10 mode. DX10 is not fully supported in all FSX add-ons, so for me the marginal performance I gained was not worth not having my add-on scenery work.I suggest just going back to DX9 so that you don't have to worry about any scenery not working as intended. Though if DX10 is working for you stay there. The best advice I can give you is make a quick test for yourself where the only thing you change is the DirectX mode. Then pick wich one gives you the best result.
