NGX another "clean install aircraft"?

Featured Replies

Hey PMDG,Just did a reformat on my computer to clear some stuff up and just got FSX installed. As in the past it has always been recommended to install PMDG aircraft on a clean FSX install. That being said, is the NGX a plane that needs to be put on first, as with past PMDG aircraft, or can I install all my other stuff and put the NGX on when it comes out and still have everything working well? Just figured it may be different because the NGX acts so differently from past PMDG aircraft. Thanks,Connor Duchen

Dude seriously, an install is an install. If you install the NGX before or after another add-on, no problem. Don't think that it's "holy and the best" to install first PMDG and then another add-on. PMDG is also just an add-on :(

Yeah I think the clean FSX installation advice is just to weed out people that have a really poorly configured setup so that customer support can say "HA! We told you to install it on a clean installation" in case something goes wrong.

I'm not sure I agree with that. I have a very powerful computer, but I've been told on numerous occasions to do clean FSX installs when I have issues with gauges and stuff, luckily of which I've had no problems as of late.

A clean install won't be necessary.
