Nvidia inspector AA Supersampling settings

Featured Replies

I recently upgraded my video card from a 8800GT to a GTX460Used to use 185.00 drivers from 2009 , however i have upgraded to the 2__ drivers for my GTX 460 , which are not compatible with Nhancer. With Nhancer you had a setting you could use to eliminate the "shimmers" - 8SQ Supersampling - which completly eliminated shimmers and did not affect FPS ( except in very heavy cloud)With Inspector, i cannot seem to find a setting that will eliminate these shimmers! Tried multitude of settings as per Nick's guide ( 8SX, 8SQ ) - no matter what setting i used i still get mild shimmering autogen( although not that bad - maybe 20% , but upgrading a video card i should not have to put up with decreased visuals!) - with my 8800GT and Nhancer i got none whatsoever because of the pure Supersampling setting. I tried the AA setting 4S*4S supersampling ( or something like that ) and did eliminate this problem , but my FPS took a huge hit ( try about 10FPS in clouds - man my old 9800pro from 2004 ran clouds better than that!)Inspector has tons of AA settings and i am sure i tried most of them - and i did search some topics here and most users did not have this problem when using Inspector- actually most people here report that Inspector is a much better program than Nhancer.Just would like to know what settings everyone uses to eliminate shimmers without a massive FPS hit.(BTW my Nvidia driver i use at the moment is 266.58 ) thank you
