April 5, 201115 yr Hi,I sit at 2.5 feet from my monitor. I have a 22" but I think of buying a larger one. What monitor size do you recommend? THXAs monitor size increases, so does the need for higher resolution to prevent graininess. Higher resolution requires more from the CPU and GPU. Which in turn raises the need for a faster PC.If you then simply move the monitor a bit further away, then nothing gained!Something like a puppy dog chasing its tail!AR
April 6, 201115 yr Author Hi,Thank you guys.Is 27" too large? My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
April 6, 201115 yr Hi,Thank you guys.Is 27" too large? My philosophy is bigger is better if your computer can handle it. But if you have to move a larger monitor further away from your eyes, nothing is gained. It's the Perspective Angle that counts.Does your PC setup have sufficient horsepower? That is, is there room to accept a lower Frame Rate if the bigger screen needs a higher resolution? You might want to consider multiple small monitors: 3-17 or 19 inchers can give a perspective about 45-50 inches wide. The choices then are TH2Go, EyeFinity or a second video card. (Used 17/19s are dirt cheap to giveaway nowadays!)If you have been to an IMAX theatre, you will appreciate the visual impact of "WIDTH".AR
