Squawkbox running but no vor data

Featured Replies

Hello All,After a absence of a year or so, I finally decided to go back to flying on line . . .with 2004 and the new sb I finally got it up and running, however, I get the following messages:Cannot find vor data, file is not with sb.exeCls files cannot be opened?Hence I cannot program the fmc of sb or input a vor or xing change.Anyone have any ideas? I posted on the SB forum but it looks like hardly anyone goes there anymore.Best,Clay

SOMEWHERE I downloaded three CSL related SB filesCSL2kBeta1.zip 1561K 10/17/2003CSL Version 1-75a.zip 785K 6/2/2000CSL_ICAO.zip 12Kk 10/17/2003I also have several facilites related files NDB.DATand VOR.DAT in my Squawk Box folder.I'm successfully using SB 2.3 b5. (beta 5)I could send these to you via email, if that would help. Email me via AVSIM.Larry

Clay, You need to go to Richard Stefan's site http://www.navdata.at/ and down load the latest navdata for SB. The site is under construction but there is a link to the navdata towards the bottom of the page. That will give you your VORs, NDBs etc.The csl problem suggests you have not installed the csl file in Sb and/or the csl folder in FSxaircraft. There should be instructions with SB and if you are running FS9 you need SBrelay and in its readme file there is a section that needs copying to your fs9.cfg file.HTH

Thank you all,I will download these and hope it will solve the problem.Best to all and happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate it.Clay
