Wilco airbus A330-200/300

Hello i have a Question About airbus autopilot system at Real world and then for wilco!i made perfect flight rout and put that on MCDU ,(For example KJFK to KCLT at FL320) i have T/C and T/D normally ,every thing just finebut every time i change my flight level at EFIS and pushing to dot condition before T/D,the aircraft begin to Decent while normally its not suppose to Decent before T/D .My question is ,is this a bug on Wilco?or i miss something!because i test on Captain sim as well and Decent begin just after passing T/D to target altitude.or Airbus X i think!Thank you in Advance

but every time i change my flight level at EFIS and pushing to dot condition before T/D,the aircraft begin to Decent while normally its not suppose to Decent before T/D .
See this command to be the same as the "descend now" from the Boeing planes (which is activated in their FMC). You press that button towards the plane, which triggers the descent to start now, being managed and respecting all the altitude constains which are set in the MCDU. It will then try to catch on that pre-set descend profile, so the rate will be a lower one since you've pressed the button before TOD. When it has catched up on the calculated descent path, it will increase the rate of descend to follow it.If you would pull the knob, the descend would be "open" and wouldn't take care of some constrains to catch or to stop descent at, roughly spoken. If you wait until the TOD comes up on the ND and push/pull that knob, you will enter the descent path directly, at least in theory. So the catching phase will be short. That path catching can only happen when being close to TOD, around 50nm or so (I have to look that up, so it's from memory).

HelloThank you For responselook i want to fly fully under AP and MCDU controlled condition (all display show dashes)now before T/D if i reduce Altitude and push knob, the aircraft(at Real life) must begin decent just that moment ,or not?notice that Before top of Decent i meanthank you

Yes, you push the knob in and you'll stay in managed descent mode then. The altitude display never gets dashed though, you will have to check the announcers in the PFD to read the current mode being used. If you read OP DES, you've pulled the knob and the descent is "open", disregarding the constrains set in the MCDU. So, when pushing the knob in, you are looking for a simple DES announcement there, describing a managed mode. You lateral navigation has to be in NAV mode (=dot in the display), otherwise you can't enter the managed vertical mode. So no manual heading there. If you start your descend too soon (before the TOD), he will intercept the calculated descent path with around 1000ft/min and catch up on it.Starting the descent after your calculated TOD, he will also try to intercept the path, descending at a high rate and maybe asking you for "more drag".

HelloThank you very Much for your Time and ExplainNoe let talk about wilco if you using of coursei dont want talk about Open Decent hereat Aerosoft Airbus X Before T/D i change my altitude from FL310 to 8000f at managed condition ,and aircraft start Decent automatically after passing T/D.at Wilco i do Same but aircraft Start just that moment,is this a bug at Wilco?

Find some really good docs here if you are getting into details. Great site! http://www.smartcock..._Monitoring.pdfFrom this doc.

Initiating descent (DES Mode) The aircraft will not start its descent automatically when reaching the top of descent (T/D). In order to initiate the descent, you set the ATC lower clearance altitude on the FCU, then push the ALT selector knob. The aircraft will then descend immediately.  If the descent is initiated before the FM computed T/D, the aircraft descends at a constant V/S converging on the descent path from below. The A/THR operational mode will be SPEED/MACH.  If the descent is initiated after the FM computed T/D, the aircraft descends at idle thrust and attempts to converge on the descent path from above. The A/THR operational mode will be THR IDLE.  If the descent is initiated at the FM computed T/D, the aircraft is descending on the FM calculated vertical descent profile. The A/THR operational mode will be THR DES.
