Cessna 195

Just landed! We hope you enjoy and have some fun with this plane. There are about 10-15 repaints coming in the next few days. Plus a paint kit and original texture templates. The Gmax files will be available in a few weeks. We hope this project continues to progress.joe and the HHDS team.http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...004ac&Go=Search

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! Install was easy, and I immediately loaded her up at Renton. What a plane! First impressions: taxies very good, great looking and very usable VC, exterior model is gorgeous, and it flies without problems. I really like the night lighting in the VC, and the perspective is very well done (biggest problem with a lot of VCs).I'm really impressed by the quality of this plane, reminds me a lot of Bill Lyons' work. Did I say thank you? ;)VOlker :]EDIT P.S.: One very small problem with the landing lights, they seem to point straight down.

Landing lights operate by keys, please read "read-mes". For questions about flight characteristics (it IS a quirky plane in real life), feel free to send comments to [email protected] (no, haha, it was not designed to be a suicide machine..so "fatal possibilities" were engineered out; as they should be in all planes.) :-)

I did not read the animation readme ;) I would prefer the lights to point forward by default, but that's really a very minor thing! As I said before, I think this is an excellent plane, and I hope a lot of people will try it out. I'm surprised there has not been more feedback yet, I guess all the people are busy flying ...VOlker :]

That's how the landing lights are on the real one though.

Hi! Looking good ...I'm a bit confused though. There's a panel "fix" uploaded the same day. Says read the README ... there isn't one. The files predate the main download, so I'm now not sure which are right. I note, however, that the bitmaps are in true colour rather than 256 so was that the issue? Should one overwrite the main download's panel with these bigger textures despite their earlier production date?Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Thanks for catching that. "At this time"/"until further notice"..do not install the "fix". (there seems to have been a mis-communication).And yes, there IS no read-me.

Ok, I am some what mystified as to why the readme file is missing because I have it in the zip file I uploaded to the library. Maybe I jumped the gun uploading it but Joe had said in an email lastnight that the clock on the copilot panel was missing from the uploaded package. The only reason I could see that it would be missing is because it is located in a cab file in the default Lockheed Vega panel folder. My mistake in not noting that this time, I forgot about that fact. A simple fix is to just move the cab folder to the main gauges folder. I have attached the readme file to this post for those of you that see this. I will ask the library manager to remove the panel upload and I will try it again. Please have patience with me as I am a :-newbie to panel design. Hope this answers some questions.

Great work guys. I just love the dog with his wagging tail!!!!One question. I love the VC it's very cozy and I know that it's a work in progress. Will there eventually be a panel available without the GPS and a more vintage like apperance. Of course I know I can try to make it myself ;) . Wish I was more handy with these things...Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. To go down, pull the stick back harder"

Just want to say thank you to all who helped create the 195. The time and effort is appearant. It is a beautiful plane and a ball to fly.Thank you,Ken

Thanks its excellent, here's a nice website for the C-195, lots of nice pic's and info.http://www.cessna195.org/

This is not vintage, Havent gotten that far with modifying it. With out the GPS my frames went up a bit and the sim smothed out a ton.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/50327.jpg

Great job on the C-195. She is a blast too fly! Thank you! I am sure she won't spend much time in the hanger, cause she will be out flying. Those toe brakes are touchy, almost buried her beautiful nose a couple of times on landing. It is going take some practice to make my landings to look good, but I am sure I will get the hang of it.

Thankyou to all the team who created this lovely model. The detail is staggering.EG: close examination of the floats shows the dents and scars made by knocking against the dock.Flies beautifully and - in any view mode on my machine ,maintains a full 25 fps(locked). Also nice to find it has all mod cons- radios ,GPS etc ,so fully equipped for online flying. Thanks againDave
