Installing Addons in Windows 7 64

Featured Replies

Hi all, just built myself a shiny new super computer and am new to Windows 7. Right now, I'm completely amazed by the performance of FSX in this machine. I believe I've tamed the beast.Anyway, if someone can help me, I'd be greatful. I can't seem to install Ultimate Terrain X, it gives me an error after it extracts the install .exe then I go to run the .exe and it says something about maybe I need a 64bit version or something. I'm guessing that even with my vagueness, some of you probably know exactly what I'm talking about, so thanks in advance.

Should install okay on a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7. I'm thinking it's the User Access Controls (UAC) causing the issue. Did you disable the UAC. You can reenable after you install everything if you want to but most leave it disabled.Best regards,Jim
