fog???

hi allany way of getting rid of the layer of ground fog that real weather seems to produce..i dont think its fog as such... more of a LOW cloud layer.looks very unrealistic.always seems to be at the same height.soon as i go throught 2000ft ,i look down through this sort of murky layer, and i can still see the ground!!!now it could be me,could be the way FS2004 reproduces FOG...it just dont look like FOG.. any ideas thanks steve

I think what you are describing is the visibility layer. FS2k4 depicts this in a strange way, that's for sure. I've had some success using registered FSUIPC to graduate visibility from the top of the visibility up to 15000', and this seems to dull the effect some, but not completely - it's still readily visible at altitude, just a gentler transition when descending into it...sg

It's definitely a funky modeling of visibility, esp when you're above it in mountainous areas. Very weird and unnatural. Hard to believe it passed muster.Noel
