May 9, 201115 yr Greetings,I was using FSX and decided to take a look at the activity monitor and noticed that the FSX process was taking 100% in one of the cores and the other one was very much idling. I know that FSX is mediocre with multicore processors. So I have a question is there a way to tell FSX that my computer has a dual core processor? I am running FSX SP2 and my computer specs are in the signature. FSX Performance is good as I get 25 FPS (locked via FSX built in limiter) in most areas. I think that also the fact that FSX is running in a single core is activating intel's turbo boost technology which produces a lot of heat. Many thanks! Visit Us at www.virtualeastern.com
May 9, 201115 yr There is affinity mask in FSX, so you can manually assign to the specific core if you HT is on.But there is not much to do, and there is nothing to achieve on dual core.
May 9, 201115 yr Check out Bojote's online tweak tool. It will automatically select the best affinity mask setting as well as optimize several other settings.
