May 11, 201115 yr Good evening,I downloaded this file: fsx_boeing_737-200adv_tinmouse_ii_engin e_smoke.zip on Flightsim.I have the following problem: I have to leave the key "I" pushed to see appearing the smoke. As soon as I release this key, the effect stops!I am under FSX Acc pack and W7 64b.Thank you for your help!
May 12, 201115 yr Hi 9Q-CNI,I actually downloaded and installed the same file yesterday, because the original was only giving me smoke flares all over the place. It's working fine for me, after a bit of tweaking in the aircraft.cfg file.Did you have the same "I" issue with the original smoke file? This is what I did with the [smokesystem] section in the aircraft.cfg file:[smokesystem]// lon/vert/lat THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL LINE//smoke.0 = -16.5, -2.5, -17, fx_smoke_JT8D.fx THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL LINE, WHICH I DE-ACTIVATED WITH THE // AT THE BEGINING OF THE LINE//smoke.1 = -16.5, -2.5, 17, fx_smoke_JT8D.fx THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL LINE, WHICH I DE-ACTIVATED WITH THE // AT THE BEGINING OF THE LINEsmoke.0 = -16.5, -17, -2.5, fx_smoke_f6.fx I CHANGE THE FILE NAME, AND THE PARAMETERS, TO SHOW THE SMOKE TRAIL IN THE RIGHT POSITIONsmoke.1 = -16.5, 17, -2.5, fx_smoke_f6.fx I CHANGE THE FILE NAME, AND THE PARAMETERS, TO SHOW THE SMOKE TRAIL IN THE RIGHT POSITIONMake sure you only have one [smokesystem] section in your aircraft.cfg fileI have not yet installed the update 1.40 panel.cfg files! Will be doing that later today.Hope this helps you.Happy flying,Manfred A day without laughter, is a day without living.
May 13, 201115 yr Good evening Madfred,First of all, thank you for your answer.I copied out your "smokesystem" but it changed nothing for me.If I want to see the smoke, I have to maintain pushed the key(touch) "i".I am going to re-try with the file of origin.Thank you very much.Good weekend.
May 15, 201115 yr Hi 9Q-CNI,I am certainly not a specialist when it comes to the TinMouse, but I have experience with installing add-ons and the problems that can occur.A question come to mind:Is the smoke working correctly with the original smoke fx file?If No, then you have a problem with the TinMouse II installation. A new download and clear installation of the TM2 might solve the issue. YES, then the issue is isolated to the downloaded smoke file. I would download the zip file again, possibly from a different website and overwriting/replacing the existing one, as the file in use might be corrupt.I hope this might give you some ideas to solve your issue. A day without laughter, is a day without living.
