Hi simmers,On the 08th May I posted an enquiry about the sound missing from a nice little gauge presented by Glenn Copeland. The Altitude Alerter. I had done everything by the numbers for install. Copied/Pasted the info according to Glenns instructions. No sound however. Our dear "Opa" with keen eye and checking for the details found a typo error in the panel.cfg gauge string. gaugexx=AltAlert_dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 0, 0, 1, 1, ./Gauges/AltAlerterGau_2/AltAlert_sound.ini . The line in my .cfg was missing the "er" . I thank all those who have tried to help resolve this and I hope that if there is anyone else out there with same problem, it may now fix it.God Bless you all,Rusty aka greatdragon

Well done to both yourself and Opa.I also tried installing this gauge some years ago, and like yourself could not get it to work .I will try it again.I do have an alt alerter, however that's only for ten thousand .As I remember it this particular gauge could be set for different altitudes as well.Cheers Andy

Hi Andy, Yes I recall seeing your request to Glenn about it. If you do the change it works great and you can fly up and down around the altitudes set and get a nice message everytime. No major limit.God Bless, Rusty

After waiting five years or so to get this gauge to work, I have now decided to remove it.I find it a little fiddly to set the different altitude's and it still doesn't always seem to call. The only way to make it none fiddly would be to enlarge the gauge to a silly size. Any way I still have my ten thou alert from another app ,and I think as a responsible virtual Biggles its up to me to monitor my altitude.(AT ALL TIMES SIR!) (INDEED SIR!)Big%20Grin.gifcheers to allAndy
