Simconnect error

Featured Replies

Hi, I am new to the online FS community. I have re-installed FSX, SP1, SP2, Sqawkbox4 (SB4) and FSUIPC to my computer but I have the same issue making me think it is simconnect not running right. I get this error whenever I try to connect with SB4 "Simconnect error Cannot start without Flight Simulator running" My flight sim is running, not sure if simconnect is... I am running windows 7 I have checked for simconnect traffic using currports and do not see any. My .cfg and .xml files located at C:/ Program Files (x86)/ Microsoft Games/ Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK/ SDK/ Core Utilities kit/ SimConnect SDK/ config/ read as follows:cfg:[simConnect]Protocol=IPv4Address=192.168.2.3Port=6600MaxReceiveSize=8192DisableNagle=1xml:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" ?><SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0"><Descr>SimConnect</Descr><Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename><Disabled>False</Disabled><SimConnect.Comm><Disabled>False</Disabled><Protocol>IPv4</Protocol><Scope>global</Scope><Address>192.168.2.3</Address><Port>6600</Port><MaxClients>10</MaxClients><MaxRecvSize>8192</MaxRecvSize><DisableNagle>True</DisableNagle></SimConnect.Comm></SimBase.Document> I hope everything is right and I am just doing something stupid. I have been searching for hours...well days now before posting, but i can't even tell or know what to look for in game to see if Simconnect is running. Let me know if you need more info and thanks in advance for any help.ps read the sticky and tried everything in there as well :)Justin
