Need help getting FSX to display at 1920x1080

Featured Replies

Hey guys,I'm using a 32" TV, capable of 1920x1080 as my FSX montior. Runing a 3GB GTX 580. While I can get Windows 7 to display at this resolution (although I did have to force it through Nvidia control panel) for some reason this resolution does not appear in the FSX list of available resolutions.I've tried adding it into the FSX.CFG file manually, but the screen went blank and wouldn't display anything when FSX loaded at that setting. At the moment, I'm using a standard VGA cable, instead of a DVI. Is it possible that this could be causing the problem? Seems strange that Windows will accept the resolution but FSX won't run it.Thanks all,Kael

Hi Kael,I don't think standard VGA will support that resolution, yes, you may be able to force it in Windows, but not a 3D application.Change the cable first to DVI. regards,Ron.
