Animations on forthcoming 737NGX

Featured Replies

As a die hard simulator fan I'm disappointed not to hear more about the animations. How will the doors open? How will the night time cabin look? Will the trays on the back of the seats come down? Can you deploy the emergency slides? etc...Also, probably going to get shot for this seen as it's been discussed to death, is the release likely to be in the third or fourth quarter of 2011?Mac T

Why would you even ask about a release date, when you know it's been discussed to death and every time the answer is "there are no release dates"?To answer your questions:-The doors will likely open just like the the MD-11, though the FMC. That would be my guess. I think the PMDG options menu has extra settings where you can set keystrokes for certain doors.-The night time cockpit is in photos all over the place.-The cabin is not modeled, from what I recall, and based off of PMDG's stance with the Queen and the MD-11 (yes, the Queen has the upper deck modeled, but in a very limited way). There's no point, and it wastes system resources for the VC. Why does it matter to the pilot if the tray tables come down anyway? Again, a wasted animation that could go to something much more useful and something I'd actually click on, in the cockpit.-Slides would be an interesting thought, but I doubt it.
