    Try now.
  2. scandinavian13's post in problems with reversers was marked as the answer
    Using FSUIPC?

Drag the FSUIPC.ini from your sim's root folder onto your desktop. Run the sim. If that solves the issue, your FSUIPC configuration is causing it. If it doesn't solve it, put the FSUIPC back into the sim root folder (and allow it to overwrite).
  3. scandinavian13's post in Unable to activate PMDG777 was marked as the answer
Instead of researching, there was a readme file right next to the installer that explained the exact steps that you needed to accomplish in this regard. Downloading the SDK was not required, and likely did nothing to solve the issue.

The correct steps (as also included in that readme file) are as follows:
    http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a111/aircraft-loads-up-dead-no-activation-window-no-landing-gear-simconnect-issue.aspx

  4. scandinavian13's post in Engine Star-up Sound was marked as the answer
There is an option included in the sim to pre-load the sounds. Please see the details in the Intro Manual.
  5. scandinavian13's post in 777 autopilot disconnect issue was marked as the answer
You need to disconnect the AP properly by hitting the AP disconnect button (on the yoke, or via a command that you set up through the PMDG SETUP> menu) once, and then after a few seconds, once more. This is discussed in greater detail in the Intro Manual. Please have a look through that.

  7. scandinavian13's post in PMDG 777 LOW FUEL QTY was marked as the answer
It's okay - fly the tutorials first to get used to things.

One comes with the plane. The second one is on the downloads page of our website.

Burning the wing fuel off before the center fuel is actually a pretty bad situation to be in. I can't remember 777 specifics at the moment, but I think if you just put the center pumps on, you should be mostly fine.
  8. scandinavian13's post in Pre-buy questions was marked as the answer
    It is.

Not currently. Liveries are downloaded from the site and added manually.
  9. scandinavian13's post in A/T won't Hold SEL Speed was marked as the answer
Looking at your PROG page, you are arriving at your destination with 207000 pounds of fuel. That is WAY too much. Your MAX FL is 330, but you're forcing it up to FL370 for some reason.

Where are you getting these fuel numbers? Have you flown the tutorials?
  10. scandinavian13's post in Setting Radios and courses before dept and vor/dme approachh was marked as the answer
Welcome to the forum. Full names - first and last - are required to be added to your posts here.

As far as your issues go, please fly the tutorials first as they will help you immensely. They can be accessed via the Operations Center, or by manually locating your [Flight Sim Directory]\PMDG\NGX\Documentation folder.
  11. scandinavian13's post in Plane jumps up in the air on scenario load was marked as the answer
    Nope. I did...kind of.

I recommended turning runway contour off, but saved that scenario with it turned on. I've identified it with the dev team and we're having a look.

In the meantime, simply use the Local Map feature to load on 28L and set your state to "ready to taxi." Same effect.
  12. scandinavian13's post in Operations Centre was marked as the answer
By installing SP1d. Sounds like you didn't uninstall the old version before attempting to install the new version. Fully uninstall the NGX, and then install using only the updated installer that you recently downloaded.

  14. scandinavian13's post in Engine Starting Question was marked as the answer
Yep. Possibly, maybe, perhaps considering changing it up in a future update, but that is not for certain.
(For future passers-by - note that this is not a promise that anything will change!)

Not in as much detail, but the DC-6 engine start is much more reliable than one would imagine. We spent time in V5-NCG and recorded many starts without much trouble. Granted, radials are a different animal, and if they're cold, they can be as stubborn as my late grandmother, and even more so depending on the specific engine. Still, it definitely wasn't as much of

Because the switches are currently combined, no, but it's less of a dark art in the 6.

    Currently automatic.

Having watched many starts in the 3, and videos of starts in the 6, there is a lot going on at that time. One guy has his hands on the starter pack, another has his head partially out the window counting blades aloud, someone's grabbing the mags and fuel controls, and in the 6, yet another is added into that mix. In quick succession, the starter pack must be worked, the ignition must be cut over to both, the mixture must be brought in, and blades must be counted. As a single person in a sim, that's unmanageable, which is why this approach was chosen. There may be room to improve the realism in the procedure, while still making it manageable, but I think that will require much more investigation to find a reasonable sweet spot.

Not seeing this at all on mine, and your card should be able to handle it. You might want to consider rolling back a driver version. I'm still on 361 with 980Ti s.

  17. scandinavian13's post in what to do with wind info just prior to takeoff was marked as the answer
    Yep.

The rest of the questions are overthinking it, really. If the wind changed that drastically, you might want to call your meteorology/planning department to have a discussion about forecasting and quality.

Find your HOSTS file (it won't have an extension, so right click it and open in Notepad) and post the contents here in the thread.

    The file is located here:
    C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Our main website has two links:
Product Support Customer Forum If you're looking for support from the development team, the obvious choice would be the first one, which would direct you to support.precisionmanuals.com (linked in my signature). Is there some other location that linked you to this forum that made it seem like this was the official avenue for support?

Do keep in mind, though, that this product is for personal use and is neither intended nor licensed to be used for familiarization, training, or currency in the type.

  25. scandinavian13's post in Can't Dim Gauge Lights was marked as the answer
Yep. This was the first mistake I made when I got it when it was in beta, actually.

Lighting is controlled by the MASTER lighting knob up by the landing light switches. If you want to dim individual screens, press the middle of that MASTER knob. You can dim all lighting together, though, by turning that knob counter-clockwise.
