777 autopilot disconnect issue

Featured Replies

I completed a CATIII landing yesterday, however after releasing reverse thrust/autobrakes and turning off the runway, the autopilot disconnect master alarm went off, so i pushed the master alarm to turn it off, but the warning sirens would not stop and AP disonnect wouldnt leave from the EICAS. what did i do wrong?

EDIT: solved. for anyone that might have the same problem, you just have to press the autopilot disconnect button on the yoke twice.

You need to disconnect the AP properly by hitting the AP disconnect button (on the yoke, or via a command that you set up through the PMDG SETUP> menu) once, and then after a few seconds, once more. This is discussed in greater detail in the Intro Manual. Please have a look through that.
