A1 helicopters

Featured Replies

I know the default helicopters in Fs9 won't fly like helis but I can't even get the default Jet Ranger to show up as A1 static traffic.I've made a flight plan with lots of waiting time, thinking it would sit on the ramp more or less all day....but its no where to be seen,...any ideas anyone.Thks David

Do you have sufficient parking space(s) available of the correct radius for the chopper? And by Flightplan, can we assume you mean a Traffic file?BTW - the terminology is AI (eye) not A1 (one).Virtually all flyable choppers can be used as AI Traffic - but of course they do not take off or landing as real world choppers do.If you are wanting just "static" choppers, take a look at the fairly new SAMM program. It allows almost any aircraft to be placed as a static object. A truly remarkable free program.http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=samm1000.zip&CatID=root&Go=SearchFor the most realistiic Chopper action, the Heli Traffic 2009 (payware from Flight1) is highly recommended.http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=helitrafficBe sure to scroll down the page and watch the Demo Video. Amazing!Hope that helps.

Thanks, the SAMM programme sounds just right and it will do until I can afford the Heli traffic add on.
