High End System - But just don't get FSX working

Featured Replies

Thanks for replying ;) I got the results above with the default flight. My CPU isn't really going high, so I have no clue what the problem is :(
Is the computer a brand or selfbuilt?

It's selfbuild ;) But I don't think that something with the hardware is wrong because other Fps intesive games are running fluently on my system ;)

No other game is as FPS intensive (CPU) as FSX is. And in FSX you notice it, since the movement is, compared to other games, very slow and has to be precise. If you have such dips in FPS, there is something stealing CPU cycles from FSX and if you want to pinpoint it, you have to dig. In previous posts, I named two tools which are gonna help you in the quest. And start with NO TWEAKS. Good luck.

I tried "Process Explorer" now. But I'm not sure, whether I understood the program right. So here's a picture of what it tells me (without running FSX):

OK, first and foremost: you have a lot of processes running with FSX. Chances are big that something is interfering. You can do two things:1) Close down most of processes manually and see how FSX runs (there is a tool around that does it for you, I think it's called Alacrity or something like that - someone please chime in on this one) - and to calm you, there is nothing wrong you can do - if you close something wrong, just hard reset on the computer2) Run Process Monitor and see if there is an app that steals CPU cyclesYou could also try adding Affinitymask to your fsx.cfg (it should be there if you ran Bojote's tool).EDIT: http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/download.html
