American Virtual Airlines Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary – Celebration Announcementavaanni.pngAmerican Virtual Airlines (AvA) is celebrating its 10th Anniversary on VATSIM throughout the month of June. We invite all virtual airlines to join in this celebration. Our celebration kicks off with an open house on Saturday, June 4. AvA pilots will be departing from AA hubs to arrive in our home at Dallas/Fort Worth between 2200z-0200z. Our fellow virtual airlines are invited to fly from their respective hubs into DFW to arrive during that time. We are expecting full ATC from our amazing partners at DFW ARTCC. Following the arrival, pilots are then encouraged to turn their aircraft and continue to a destination of their choice. Come join us for this huge celebration!American Virtual Airlines was formed on June 1, 2001 and was was one of the first virtual airlines to join VATSIM. Since that time, AvA has become one of the premier VATSIM-only virtual airline with nearly 500 active pilots who fly over 100,000 hours yearly. AvA has pilot hubs in Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O’Hare, Boston, Miami, New York, and San Juan and flies a huge range of current aircraft to include the Embraer, Canadair CRJ-700, ATR-72, MD-80, 737, 757, 767, and 777. If you are interested in flying with a great group of folks and want a virtual airline that understands why you fly, check us out at joinava.org.
