Did you add any applications that might trap keystrokes? Thanks Ronzie for the quick response. I didn't change anything on the FS, and yes the flight is working because I have flown a few times like this. I also just tried the Alt-Tab which returned no results.
May 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks Ronzie for the quick response. I didn't change anything on the FS or add any apps. I am sure the sim is working because I have flown a few flights with it like this. I tried the alt/tab keys and nothing showed up.
May 26, 201115 yr For some reason your original post is blank here. I assume you have a flight up and running such as parked with a ticking clock and power to your comm1. The RC option to tune-on-contact should be enabled for now. The RC Menu is displayed in its blue semi-transparent window and you have clicked on the aircraft panel next to an instrument, not on the RC window itself. RC options should have Interact with AI enabled, Display Text Off. IFR Training Off, PreRecorded Chatter off, and AI Chatter On.In RC look at your keyboard assignments and make sure they are what you want.Fly with a default aircraft in FS with no other add-on running. In other words test with back-to-basics. Make sure your FSUIPC is current from the links at the forum top and reinstall it.If you are getting the menu but no response (as a menu change or crawl in the status window) then something is getting priority stealing your keystrokes. In some aircraft models there are options to use keyboard input for the FMC. You need to turn that off before any keystrokes will be passed to RC. If you are using a menu based add-on such as FS2CREW be sure your assignments are non-conflicting.If you can't get it working after your aircraft is loaded parked with avionics on start RC, click debug, load your plan, check your options, and start RC. Make sure you have the comms and the co-pilot is not enabled. Request current weather and see if there is a response. If so request your clearance. If you don't get anything and your audio is up for your Win mixer wav and master sliders, alt-tab to RC to quit it. In the rc folder you'll see an rcv4.log or similar. Zip that up and send it in to [email protected] following the instructions on making a log and sending it in pinned at the forum top.You still have not described your system. Is RC on the same pc with FS or are you running it on a networked client via WideFS. FS9 or FSX. What Windows version. Include this in your e-mail with log attached.
