June 3, 201115 yr Hey guys, yesterday i finished my new rig, installed FSX and is fine, from my previous Q9550@4GHZ and GTX 275, the main difference is how smooth the sim is now, and i locked fps in 30, and never drops, in a quick take off from KLGA, because my old rig was not good at this area, of course, no tweaks, addons, nothing installed, i will spend today and tomorrow for install all the things. And, install things and loading times is AMAZING compared with C2Q, i dont know if it is because of Sata3 drive, or the processor, but the system is really amazing, well, compared with my old. and i tested FSX with the same AA settings, 8xSQ.Now the Questions, my memory is a G.skill RipjawsX 1600mhz, at 7-8-7-24 at 1.5v, ok, but, i can have it stable at 1600@ 6-8-6-24 1.5v, or 1866@ 8-9-8-24 1.6V, i have it at 1866 right now, totally stable, but i dont know what can be better, low latency or 1866 and higher latency...Now the 2500K, i have it at 4.5 and 1.4V, stable, but it downclocks to 1.6ghz when in windows, is that normal or i hace to touch something more in the bios? keep in mind my mobo is Z68 not P67, i dont know if there are some differences..My Graphics card is OCed succesfully, is EXTREMLY LOUD at 100% fan, 4250rpm, 2 Fans....Thats all, i will finish some things and will do a FSXmark! Thanks! 7800X3D / 7900XTX / ROG STRIX B650-A / Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000mhz, etc etc.

There are different opinions on the matterIf it downclocks to 1.6GHz when idling it's because you have SpeedStep (EIST) enabled in BIOS, it's perfectly normal. How did you overclock? 1.4V for 4.5GHz seems a bit too much
