ENB as Frame Limiter with optional antilag

Featured Replies

I just installed ENB series mod... There are two settings that are interesting, ForceDisplayRefreshRate and DisplayRefreshRateHzIf I set them as follows:ForceRefreshRate=1RefreshRateHz=30I seems to work as a frame limiter as I am pegged at 30 FPS even in areas where I would get higher display rates, and it's super smooth (better than antilag, and way better than FPS_Limiter). This works with my GTX570 connected to an LG 1080p TV set to Just Scan. There seems to be one negative. There appears to be a slight input lag (might not really be there, maybe I'm just hyper aware as a result of all this cruft). However, I think I solved this by using ENB proxy to antilag but with antilag FPS limiter disabled.Has any used this technique before? Can someone else try it and report whether they experience similar results?

It's limiting your framerate to 30fps because you must have vsync on, so it's syncing to your 30hz refresh. 30hz refresh would be horrible to look at, 60hz is bad enough. Not sure how you can stand that!

I'm aware of why it's limiting, but a lot of people limit their rates to 30 or 24 with antilag or FPS_Limiter anyway. How is this any different?
