FSX,Fraps, and external hdd

Featured Replies

Right now I get massive lag spikes when recording with fraps ( going from the standard 15fps to 0-4fps) in the game. My hard drive has been defragged but it is getting full. would i get better recording performance if i recorded onto an external hdd?

Not sure why you asking again as your question was already answered in your previous topic you started. But here it goes again.... YES you will get better performance using FRAPS if you are saving the video files to another HD other that the FSX drive. As far as a external HD... not sure how much better as the interface may be slower for a external HD.Jim
