weather engine add-ons

Featured Replies

Could someone please suggest a good weather add-on. AS2 looks neat, but does it realistically simulate a totally overcast approach above 2 or 3000 feet when using internet download?, as this seems a bit goofy on the default weather engine.thanks for any comments on this., :-wave

According to posts on their forum, if I understand it correctly, they are placing two dense cloud layers vertically close to insure max overcast. They are also working on smoothing as reporting stations change while you are in flight and other fixes.I suggest you hop over to their furum here on AVSIM.AS2 is now retitled AS2004 since it is not really an upgrade but a major revision of the preceeding product which I use and endorse for FS2K2 and also in 2K4 but with the limitations of the 2K4 weather engine which can be manipulated quite differently than 2K2.I will be purchasing AS2004 based on the posted criteria. I believe the expected release (but not firm) target is mid-December.

thanks ronzie., sounds good enough to me
