June 25, 201114 yr Hi everyone,I have a question about the Audio Environment from flight1. A few weeks ago i bought a new pc, and since than my audio env. for fsx doesn't work anymore! I tried everything, and i even uninstalled/reinstalled fsx... I didn't had this problem with my former pc. I used and still use an onboard soundcard... But i'm 99% sure that isn't the problem cause it worked on my former pc. I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks, Pim Pim
June 25, 201114 yr Hi,What exactly is not working?Audio environment works in exactly the same way as default sounds. The only way it differs is the way in which AI traffic start-up sounds are handled - when installed, AEModule.dll is the module responsible for these sounds. If AEModule.dll is not working, the only thing that will not be heard is AI start-up sounds. All other sounds should work as installed, unless some files have been deleted. Can you confirm default sounds are working okay?Kind Regards

I noticed that sometimes i hear a low startup sound, but when a AI plane is taxing, i hear default sounds. So i think that my AEModule is not working?! It just drives me crazy! I tried so many things:-) Pim

I tried so many things:-) I FOUND IT!!!!In you fsx.cfg... under 'SOUND'.Be sure that the following setting is applied: SOUND_LOD=0Mine was SOUND_LOD=1, and that (i guess) caused my problem that i couldn't hear te sounds of audio environment. I have no idea what sound_lod is for.... but for me it worked.Good luck, this topic can be closed Pim
