December 14, 200322 yr 'Just Flight' B-17 "Memphis Belle" at www.justflight.com. I have it but try to avoid shooting people personally; however, this is one of the best.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
December 14, 200322 yr The one you can find at project-skyworks.com is excellent - along with the separate panel available here. You might have issues with the panel not showing a few things in FS2004. If you do, the author can e-mail you an adjusted copy of the panel .cfgScott
December 14, 200322 yr Were you looking for an AI plane or one that you were interested in flying yourself? Project AI has a decent B717, but of course, their models are designed for AI use. I am also a fan of the B717; I'd love to see aardvark or FSPainter do a rendition (the latter especially, since their planes are not only very accurate reproductions, but flyable also!!) Four freeware B717 packages for FS2004 are available in the AVSIM file library, (including ones with Las Vegas Air, AirTran, and a Soar livery). I haven't tried them, but they look pretty good from the screenshots. There are quite a few others, but those are FS2002 editions.
December 14, 200322 yr Im looking for a Airtran or Hawaiian 717 to fly myself not for AI. To bad the project skyworks plane only has fantasy liveries.
December 14, 200322 yr Joseph, try here: http://www.eriecoast.com/~flymd11 and click on the FlightSim link and check out the B717's by livery. I've been flying Nathan's B717's regularly and even though they are FS2K2 versions, they do well in FS2K4.Hope you find what you need.
December 14, 200322 yr HJG is making the KC-135...I guess it'll be done soon.Unless you're referring to the MD95...in which case I'm making one of those.
December 14, 200322 yr Found one by Nathon Tenney. Meant for FS2002 but works in 2004. Just slap on a panel and some sound and your good to go...Go to:http://www.eriecoast.com/~flymd11
December 15, 200322 yr Author On the payware side there is Perfect Flights Fly the B717-200 available at http://www.surclaro.com/pf_b717/. I have used the Project Skyworks B717-200 and while it is a decent model it is not exceptional. The model has problems which have been identified to the PSW staff but have not been fixed in over two months. The textures are photo images of the real Delta and Air Canada/Jazz planes so they lack some depth in quality. The airplane is supposed to have custom sounds, virtual cockpit and custom panels and it comes with none of these. PSW has rebundled the default Microsoft Flight Simulator sounds for the B737 and called it their own. The aircraft.cfg and .air files are for the default B737 so if you don' care that the plane flies like a 737 instead of a 717 then you're set. The VC and panel are not available, though Ken Mitchell has recently released a beautiful B717 cockpit.I believe there is an old FFX B717 designed by Sam Chin and others that was designed for FS2002 and I think works in FS2004 also.
