July 3, 201114 yr Hi,I am now about to upgrade my processor from the actual i3 ( most likely ) to an i7 920/930.Many simmers over-clock it with a good cooling system. My question is: Which one is good? ( keeping in mind that I have in mind to spend around 450/500 € between processor and cooling system... and 200/250 € will be spent , obviously, on the processor... ) Thank you very much for the assistance. Either the i5 2500K or i7 2600K.If you can't get a new motherboard and then stick with 1366 the 930 would be best. A 950 would be better if you can still fine one. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

July 3, 201114 yr Thank you ryan for the reply.Just one more question: in order to get good over-clocking what cooler do you suggest? ( always keeping in mind the initial budget...)I just got an H60 I've yet to try out... about $60 same price as the H50 and it's got some great performance from what I've read especially if you use two fans in push-pull config. Otherwise there's the Cooler Master Hyper 212+, the Prolimatech Megahalem, Noctua NH-D14, and the Thermalright Silver Arrow. All great coolers that would keep a Sandy Bridge CPU at great temperatures
July 3, 201114 yr "All great coolers that would keep a Sandy Bridge CPU at great temperatures" I would prefer small temperatures!
