July 5, 201114 yr I'm trying to get through the lesson 2: decent and energy management,Whenever I land at the end, no matter how light I'm touching down, it still say I have crashed my plane.Seems like the reason is that I have the wrong altimeter setting, but I don't know what to set it to.Try getting the ATIS for Seattle, but I got no response.I just try to set the altimeter to some crazy value and pass it once, but can't repeat it anymore. So anyone know what is the exact setting for the altimeter?Or how to get the plane to land without triggering the crashing alarm. Thanks,

July 5, 201114 yr You can get the altimeter setting from ATC or ATIS.You can also press the B key to make FS set it automatically. To land softly you need to reduce your speed of descent just before touchdown.Just watch as the runway gets closer and when you are just about to touch down gently pull up the nose
July 5, 201114 yr Author thanks a bunch.I was trying to see if i can just use the ILS all the way to touchdown, but I guess i have to flare to make a smooth landing.I used just ILS for touchdown in lesson 3, and I didn't get any complaint, so I thought it could be repeated for lesson 2.
