I am looking for advise as to what software/hardware to get to aid my transition from a 2D console FSimmer to the virtual console. Is TrackIR the best tool for virtual console flying FSX and FS9? Which TrackIR model should I get, the TrackIR 4:PRO or the TrackIR 5?Thank you in advance for your input,Kerke

TrackIR 5 is supposed to give more fluid motion due to higher resolution (I have version 4). Other folks have had good experiences with freeware (especially convenient if you already have a camera). I don't recall the names of the freeware versions, but they have been mentioned in the forum previously.Cheers,- jahman.

You might take a look at FaceTrackNoIR. I tried it with no success, but I only tried one camera and it wasn't even on the list of known compatible cameras. If you get it to work, though it should be very nice as there's no need to wear a hat or anything like with the TrackIR gear.
