July 10, 201114 yr HiFollowing some rather annoying problems with FSX crashing over the last 5 months i decided to reinstall absolutely everything from scratch, including the OS, but this time i've put FSX on my second hard drive, and Win 7 OS on the main C drive. My question is, where should the drivers for my Saitek modules (radio, Multifunction and switch panels) go ? When i installed the most up to date driver which i got off the net, it didn't give me any option to install it anywhere other than the main C drive, but now the MFD panel is randomly flashing the speed and altitude values without me doing anything. I'm wondering if its because i have the drivers on the C drive with the OS rather than on the drive with FSX, FSUIPC, Global etc.If it needs to be with FSX, does anyone have any tips on how to get it to install where i want it, given that i'm not given any choice in the setup..?Last question, is about SPAD.. does anyone think i should install it, and should it also be installed on the HD with FSX or on C with the OS ?Hopefully this will prove to be an easy question to answer... i've tried looking through the forums and Google searches, but i can't find a resolution anywhere..maybe its too basic a question and i'm just being a complete numpty! Many thanks :-)Minx
July 10, 201114 yr hi,If I were I would not install the saitek drivers but the spad drivers instead which are much better. As far as the installation location is concerned I don't know. I've always been reluctant to install FSX elsewhere than in the C drive because I know that one day I will forget about it and install an add on at the wrong place.. July 11, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the advice, i'll try SPAD and see if that helps. I havent used FSX long enough to confirm putting it on another drive but a lot of reviews ive read seem to point to it working more reliably. We shall see! Thanks again.Minx
