747-8 A/P disconnect switch

Featured Replies

Dear PMDG Team,I purchased and downloaded the 747-8 a few days ago and I must say I am thoroughly pleased with this aircraft, I love the sound of the GEnx engines and trying to taxi this behemoth in tight spots. I have noticed one issue however, when I try to disconnect the autopilot using the switch on the yoke (not on the MCP) I cannot push the button and there doesn't appear to be a clickspot for it. It's kind of annoying to not be able to disconnect the A/P as I usually like to hand fly it through the descent and approach. I never had this issue with the 744, so is this a known issue with the 748?Thanks for your time

This is the response I received from Paul: Chris,Turns out I do still have it installed on my laptop and indeed it does appear the animation that triggers the yoke disconnect must not have made it into the 747-8. I have let the team know about it and if we do any further updates for the 747-8 we will certainly correct the issue but for know you should be able to use the mapped disconnect to make things work.RegardsPaul GollnickManager Customer SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comThanks Paul for your assistance!
