I've finished the final steps of my new build. This was the easiest MOBO/CPU swap I've ever done. After wrapping my head around UEFI (wasn't hard) I was off to OC'ing and testing. This has been the easiest, most stable overclocking system ever, and every thing has gone without a single hitch--so far. Next I just need to get FSX reinstalled and running after I save this OC profile and revert to defaults. One thing I must say (the thing I really got on here to share). Take your time when throwing a system together. My complacency almost got me in real trouble. When I pulled real temp up, I was seeing an idle temp of 80-85C. I yanked the power cord out immediately upon realizing my H50's water pump wasn't plugged in... Scared myself into rechecking all of the system.

Nice you´re within the Sandy´s. I had a similar experience with my upgrade. Didn´t install the cooler corectly, so the temps for an 4.6 OC were about 95°C. Now it should run on about 65-70°C when under full work. (Currently on defaults cause I stopped flying FSX till NGX is out. Will have to reinstall it and I don´t want to do it again now.) FS9 is also working just like a charm on 3.7. Unfortunately my PSU has proven as being too weak for a two monitor setup. Had several power losses while flying DF 727. ´So I will have to wait till I can get a new 750W PSU. This should fix all.You will be amazed how FSX feels like on such high clock ...

What's really impressed me are my very low temps. At 4.9 today I was topping out at 66C on the hottest core under Prime95's blend test! I'm using an offset value of +.040V for that clock. It's been fun!
