July 21, 201114 yr Dear allI have been browsing through the forum and found numerous reference to this problem of strange TAT readings and possibly auto-pilot related issue with loss of speed during climb. I did notice (but I might have missed it) any clear conclusion or remedy. My set-up is as follows:Computer 1Vista Ultimate 64 (I am very happy with it, yes yes....) with, among other:FSX (FSUIPC)ASEComputer 2Windows 7 64 (also happy)with, among other:SBFDCTOPCATObservations:Sudden loss of speed in climb (until stall if not overriding autopilot and accepting altitude loss)... always related to strange TAT readings (while SAT shows realistic readings). TAT is always (in the given circumstances) higher than what is should be (say for instance: +5°C at FL200 or even +30°C at FL300....)I frequently related the loss of speed (not necessarily thrust, also a question of attitude) to trimming issues, but what I read makes me think it might be an issue either with ASE (or AS or ASA... was the same)or PMDG Any comment would be welcome. With best regardsPhilippe www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg Ct. July 21, 201114 yr Thanks for your interest. No, I do not use FSInn. I stick to SB (no wetaher control) and FSUIPC (weather data cleaned out before flight)... But....This is definitely wx related issues and has been discussed at length (do a search). There is a thread with wx settings for FSX, FSUIPC and ASE, maybe someone can add it or I will forwad later. George Morris
