July 23, 201114 yr Hey guys! So, I recently read an article teaching people how to calculate the FOV (Field of View) for the race car sim rFactor. I must say, I tested it with different sims I have and it made an enormous difference. Now I can properly judge how far or close I am from the turns, and it just feel like the view I get from driving a real car.I know my FOV here would be 23 degrees, it's a simple calculation that involves the distance from your eyes to both the upper and lower edge of your screen, and the height of your screen, then you do the math to find the angle that would translate in the field of view you need on your monitor to translate what you'd see in reality. How can I use this in FSX? The zoom FSX provides doesn't give me any reference about the correct angle I'm viewing. Wouldn't it be much better to see the runway, and everything else like it should be, from the windows of an aircraft?Just a thought guys! If it's already been discussed, sorry, I didn't see it.Take care you all! Alexis Mefano
