I am running XP Pro and want to update my video drivers. I have read many posts that say you can just install the new drivers over the old ones and others say to remove the old ones. What is the straight scoop? What is the best method of installing the new divers? What drivers work the best with the GeForce 3 Ti500? I want good graphics and stability for FS2004 at 1280x1024x32. Bob, If you are going from similar numbered drivers to the next, then you shouldn't need to remove the old ones first. However, if you go from one series to another (say from the Detonator 3x.xx series to the 4x.xx series, or 4x.xxx to the newer ForceWare 5x.xx drivers), then it is definitely a good idea to remove all traces of old drivers first.Don't rely on Windows own uninstall either, go to www.guru3d.com and download one of driver cleaner packages. Nothing better for purging! After a good purge and installation of the newer driver it is also a good idea to reinstall DirectX9.0b.Hope this helps.Allcott
