  1. OK. Thanks. I appreciate all the help. Bob
  2. OK Thanks. In the MD-83 it says Sound= in it's aircraft.cfg so it looks like I have to add it in the aircraft.cfg of my AI airplane. I understand all else.
  3. OK. Thanks. The AI planes do not now have any entry at all have to add it? in the aircraft.cfg now for Sound=. Are you saying I do not have to add it?
  4. I have a lot of AI aircraft with no sounds. Can I create a soundaI folder and alias the sound to another similar plane? Does the similar plane have to have a soundai or can I just alias it to the similar planes sound folder? I assume I have to add a line Sound= in the aircraft.cfg of the AI plane as there is no reference for sound. Any help sure would be appreciated. . Thanks.
  5. Here is the link for a great F18E Super Hornet! Counter Strike video by Dietmar Loliet. I hope you enjoy it.
  6. kcmh_port_columbus_intl_v10.zip by John Loney at Flightsim. Bob
  7. Great plane!! Thanks SOH. Simply beautiful! Has anyone noticed that there is a gauge (radiosvvc!DH125_RMI) called out the VC of the panel.cfg that is missing in the radiosvvc gauge? I would post on the SOH Forum but the server is always busy. Bob..
  8. Update: My download failed at 90%. I have been trying to get it again and the server is too busy. Why can't it be uploaded to Avsim where the bandwidth is a lot better and allows faster download speeds? I did a Google search and SOH is the only site. Bob.
  9. Worked fine for me except the download speed is very low. Bob.
  10. Hi Joe. Thanks. The 225,60,60 did it. I am thinking of trying Bright in place of Luminous to see what they look like. Regards, Bob.
  11. Hi Joe. Yes the icons are in the same FSX panel. I have 5 simicons that I created from the default simicons by adding Luminous="Yes". 4 of them are luminous but not the radio simiconj. I have rececked it and it is: <Gauge Name="Radio Icon" Version="1.0"> <Image Name="icon_radio.bmp" Luminous="Yes" ImageSizes="12,12,19,19"/> <Mouse> <Help ID="HELPID_GAUGE_TOGGLE_RADIO_WINDOW" /> <Cursor Type="Hand" /> <Click>50 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)</Click> </Mouse> </Gauge> Which is the same format as all the others. The luminous setting in the panel.cfg is 140,140, 140. Thanks, Bob. What is the difference in defining the bmp as luminous or bright?
  12. Thanks. I have not modified any bmp's and some are luminous and some are not. The particular one that is not luminous is the radio icon: <Gauge Name="Radio Icon" Version="1.0"> <Image Name="icon_radio.bmp" Luminous="Yes" ImageSizes="12,12,19,19"/> <Mouse> <Help ID="HELPID_GAUGE_TOGGLE_RADIO_WINDOW" /> <Cursor Type="Hand" /> <Click>50 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)</Click> </Mouse> </Gauge> Bob.
  13. The standard default Simicons are not luminous at night. Do the BMP's have to be modified or can I just use this code? <Gauge Name="Avionics Icon" Version="1.0"> <Image Name="Icon_Radio.bmp" Luminous="Yes" ImageSizes="12,12,19,19"/> <Mouse> <Help ID="HELPID_GAUGE_TOGGLE_RADIO_WINDOW"/> <Cursor Type="Hand"/> <Click>50 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)</Click> </Mouse> </Gauge> It seems that some are luminous and some are not when I use the above code as a template for all the other Simicons. Thanks,Bob.
  14. Thanks. I am already doing it now. I forgot about it as in the past I could not use it as I had trouble installing NFW 2.0 on my old computer. Regards, Bob.
  15. Thanks Guys. I'll do that. I was being lazy hoping someone had already made them. Regards, Bob.
  16. I have the Aerosoft Piper Super Cub working fine in FSX. Since it is a FS9 plane there are no thumbnails for all the 25 versions. Does anyone have thumbnails that they have made or know of some site to find them. Converting the panel was a simple task with FSPanelSudio. Thanks, Bob.
  17. Hi. Thanks. I don't understand. Can't I just install the airports and the lib files to ORBX folder in the FSX folder and then cut it and paste it to another drive, then set the scenery library to the new location? The files are not registered are they? I don't see a need for the junction link magic program. ORBX should have an installer that allows you to put the files in any location you want, That's why I don't like installers. Bob.
  18. I have installed the freeware FTXGlobal_NA_Airports.zip. It is a large file. It says I need the libraries FTXORBXLIBS_160528.zip which is 1,3 Gb. Both installers only allow them to be installed in the Main FSX ORBX folder. Is it possible after I install them there that I can move the entire ORBX folder to another drive where I have more space. I can then edit the Scenery Library to point to the new folder. Thanks, Bob.
  19. Hi. Thanks. Did the installer say Documents or My Documents? The installer I used has Documents which is not right for WIN7. I have a My Documents folder. Aerosoft has been of no help. If they don't send me a correct installer for WIN7, or all the files so I can install them myself, I am requesting my money back and will never buy another of their products. They are trying to say it is a registry problem which is NOT correct. My FSX is correctly registered. Every other payware installer has worked for years. See the comment I made above: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files Windows Vista: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files Windows 7: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files The installer points the Flight Simulator X Files to C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. For WIN7, which is what I have, it should be: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. For WIN7 it should be My Documments not Documents. I have not renamed any default files. Regards, Bob.
  20. I think I may have found the problem with the installer. I found several sites that said: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files Windows Vista: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files Windows 7: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files The installer points the Flight Simulator X Files to C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. For WIN7, which is what I have, it should be: C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. The difference is in the Documents vs. My Docunments. I hope to hear from Aerosoft Monday. Bob.
  21. Thanks. I really appreciate your suggested installation folder. I know of many other users that have it there too. I have had FSX in (86) since I installed it in the default location many many years ago. I know many other users that have it in (86) with no problems. I have set the properties of the entire FSX folder and the other related FSX folders to allow read/write by User or Administrator. I have installed hundreds of freeware and many payware planes with no problem. My AV advises me if any files require quarantine and there never haves been any FSX related files. I looked in the Quarantine folder and there are none. I use FSPS and have modified many many panels with no read/write problems. I have edited many many aircraft.cfg's, scenery cfg's dll.xml and exe.xml files with no read/write problems while FSX was running and when it was not. I do not have to copy the file to the Desktop, revise it, and put it back in FSX. If the installer was written right it should have installed the Piper with no problem just as all the other installers have done. They even state in their readme: The global configuration file (<FS>\Digital Aviation\PA31 Cheyenne\PA31.cfg) has been moved to C:\Users\<Alias>\AppData\Digital Aviation\PA31 Cheyenne\PA31.cfg to avoid problems if FS is installed in its default location (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X). The default FSX installation path is C:\Program Files (86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X). Thanks, regards, Bob. Here are my paths: Main FSX Path C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X Scenery.cfg Path C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\Scenery.CFG DLL.XML Path C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\dll.xml FSX.cfg Path C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.CFG
  22. My FSX is installed in the 64 bit default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X). I am running Acceleration. I have full read/write privileges for FSX. I bought the Version 4.00 and downloaded it. I ran the .exe as Administrator with my AV turned off. When I enter my e-mail address and Serial Number it starts to install but stops with an APPDATA error as shown in the attached jpg. I tried sending them a ticket and so far I have not received any useful help. I told them on the ticket that I had WIN7 64 bit and they responded asking me what my operating system was! Has anyone experienced this error and if so how did they resolve it? I did a Google search and someone else had this same problem but there was no answer as to a fix. Bob. See this thread: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/83872-piper-cheyenne-install-problem/ It is the same problem I have and note that there is no answer. Bob.
  23. I sent a ticket to them as above. All they did was ask me what operating system did I have. I never did receive an e-mail from them. I had to find the link to their ticket system. Not very good support. If I don't get any help this will be the last Aerosoft payware I will buy. Bob.
  24. Hi Ray. OK. Thanks, Bob.
