touch screen connection

I have two monitors now. I use one for the main cockpit view, and the other for either expanded sub-panels or a moving map.I'm thinking of getting a small (5-7") touch screen to be used for the fmc. This way I can program the fmc by touching the keys which heightens the realism. At the back of my pc are two sockets for the two monitors. The Samsung 19" one is plugged into the VGA socket, the second (MAG 21") is connected by a DVI plug.So where would I plug the third touch screen?Eytan OrnsteinIntel Core2 CPU E4400 2.0 GHZGeforce 9800 GT 512 MBWindows XP3.25 GB RAM600Watt power supply

Hi,Into a second video card, triple-head 2 go, or an ATI card that has Eyefinity.

Try a USB adapter. Checkout the evga uv plus. Just plug it in to any free USB port and u have another monitor port. I haven't tried it myself but I'm going to get one soon.

I have a USB hub with 4 sockets. But I guess that's not the solution. I just looked into this evga uv plus and it seems to do the job. Before i get it does anyone have any experience with this? Will it do the job and enable a third monitor to work? Eytan

Here is the crunch. I intend to use the touch screen Imo or others http://www.amazon.co...&pf_rd_i=507846 to display the GPS or FMC so I can activate the keys by touch. The idea would be to open a new view window(e,g, FMC) undock it and drag to the touch screen (which would be the third monitor). In case of the imo is it that simple?! -just connnect it to the USB and you're done?Or do I need this adapter- http://www.evga.com/uvplus/ to enable the addition of a third monitor? I need a precise answer as my budget is limitedBTW check this out. Someone thinks the mimo touch screen isn't great for fs

Hi Yair,So your iMO can handle touch input of the fmc keys? The Youtube viseo on this product says it's a poor touch nonitor and hard to callibrate, Eytan

... think that if you have an open Port, you should try your luck with 15" touchsrceen monitor Yair

My computer skills are not that advanced."open port"?I don't need a 15" monitor, the small iMO would be just fine. I repeat the question- does the iMO monitor allow activating the keyboard of the FMC?Eytan

... Sorry, Eythan, but I'm a GA guy, do not fly heavies, so , I have no idea, however, I had the chance to see a demo with the mfc on YouTube, and it seems to be running fineYair
