July 30, 201114 yr Hello Everyone,I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to replace the torque meters in the PMDG 1900D with torque meters that read in ft/lbs instead of % torque. Also if anyone has any tips on 3rd party panels that would make it more like a standard PMDG aircraft instead of an express edition, that would be great as well. I am studying for a Type and would like to have it be as complicated as the real airplane, if not at least a little more complicated than the express version. Aside from that the model is awesome. Also I know RXP is an option for upgraded EFIS displays, is that highly recommended by the owners? Thanks,Anthony
August 4, 201114 yr Besides those ol' B90's I haven't seen a King Air with ft-lb gauges in a bit. Are you talking those old spinny-a-couple-times-over gauges found in the older horizontal King Air layouts or something like this: http://tep.smugmug.com/Portfolio/Design-Work/11083585_rhtxi/4/1251412953_qwZ9Z#1251412953_qwZ9Z Maybe with a little tinkering around you could change the bitmap of the gauge to better reflect the ft-lb indicator. As for a fancier panel...haven't had any experience with the RXP set-up... If your concerned about type training...perhaps invest in ASA's On Top IFR Prof Sim....it's a pre-EFIS 1900 modelled though: http://www.asa2fly.c...1.aspx?Mode=DTL Patrick Houghton
August 5, 201114 yr Author That picture of the torquemeter is exactly what I am talking about. The real 1900D has torque in ft-lbs and that's what I am memorizing limitations for, not % torque.I will look into the ASA thing, thanks for the help!
