Payware 767 Questions and CLS MD81/82

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,I am new to the forums and this is my first topic. I ordered a new rig about a week ago and it should be arriving tomorrow (1st August, '11) and because of this I have been looking at all the new addons, scenery, aircraft, freeware etc due to the fact that I have been away from simulation for a while because of hardware issues. Anyway, to the topic point. 767, there are a few payware developers out now who have created the 767 aircraft, Level D, CaptainSim, and CLS. My first question to the forum is what is the best 767 for me to buy. I've been using the level d before with my old rig because it isn't hard on frames and it is a very nice payware, but now I have a much stronger, more powerful system on the way and I'd like to know what you all think? CaptainSim products have always been great looking products but extremely hard on the frames, and CLS has good looking products but always seem to be on the 'lite' side and never realistic in the cockpit. Do you get a working FMC with the CLS 767? Can you use SID/STARS, payload, waypoint insertion etc. These are all important things that have been missed with CLS in recent years. Like there A340-500/600 models, the exterior is beautiful, but the interior has very little for realism, I mean a GPS? I wouldn't buy payware if I wanted to use a GPS instead of an FMC. Finally, a similar question, does anybody own the CLS MD81/82 aircraft and do they also have working FMCs? I greatly appreciate everyone for taking the time to read this.I shall put my new system specs below. Thanks so much,Harry. Intel i5 2500k Quad-core LGA1155 3.4GHZ (Turbo Boost 3.8GHZ, Unclocked), 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM, 850W, Thermaltake CL-P0466 SpinQ CPU Fan, GIGABYTE Intel Z68, nVidia 580GTX, 2TB 7200RPM, Extreme Performance, Hard Drive 2 Disk Cooling, Win7 64bit

Gday Harry, If you already have the LDS, then stick with that. The CLS is great, but I think does not have as many features. Well Captain sim is another story and I wont go into them, so perhaps someone who has their products can give you further input. I own the LDS one, and still think, although a bit dated, is a fantastic addon. You can install the new VC textures and winglets and it comes up pretty good.
