August 2, 201114 yr Hey guys,I'm not to sure about this so don't go crazy on me if my wording is wrong. My new PC arrived yesterday, Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4ghz (turo 3.7ghz) unclocked. And i have 2TB of memory with it, but all the memory is on my C: drive, i wanted to know if there was a way to make another drive so I can have 1tb on each drive?I'm using Win7 64bit home premium with a GTX580. I'm going out to buy a wireless adapter right now so I can connect my desktop to my home internet and I want to start configuring and tweaking fsx as soon as possible. Thanks guys :) FAA Multi Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor
August 2, 201114 yr Hi, You can use utilities that will re-partition that HD into 2 drives without re-formatting, but it really serves no purpose. If you want to do some back ups then you use a totally different physical device. With FS it's not going to matter one way or another because the data is still going to be on one physical drive. So like FS on one partition with add-ons on another is not going to speed up anything and may in fact slow things down.
August 2, 201114 yr You can create a partition on your drive without formatting or having to reinstall the contents of your drive. Like Jim says, it won't help performance wise-- and is mostly for organization. Here is a quick step by step... http://www.ehow.com/how_5863273_create-partition-windows-7.html
