August 3, 201114 yr Hallo, Since the soon to be released PMDG Boeing 737 NG (X) will have failures by airplane and differed items sometimes you may be in the case where you find a malfunctioning or INOP item during preflight and you have to decide whether you can fly with it or need to fix it before flight. Besides the natural captain's choice there is a state published Minimum Equipment List (MEL) with items that you may fly with INOP until the next schedule maintenance or so. With some malfunctioning items you have some restrictions while with others you can fly without a care in the world. This list for the USA can be found here: http://fsims.faa.gov...on&doctype=MMEL I do not know if this is modified by airline or this applies the same for all companies in the US. And if anyone can provide something published by CAA I'd appreciate. Good luck with release. Unfortunately tomorrow I have to leave on holidays. Ciao, Eric Bocaneanu ROvACC Director
August 3, 201114 yr Author I've found out a bit more. Seems that in Europe CAA and EASA for the Boeing 737 NG series base their MEL on the FAA only (linked above). I guess because it is US manufactured. EASA only provides a MMEL (Master MEL) supplement that overwrites a few stuff from the FAA one. For this revision see here: http://www.easa.europa.eu/certification/flight-standards/MMEL-list.php What I understand is the state builds the MMEL (Master Minimum Equipment List) together with the manufacturer and then companies take that and can add stuff on top of it.
