August 3, 201114 yr Hi guys. I want your advise regarding some FPS problems. But first my system specs: I7 930 OC 4.06Gb 1333Mhz Kingston HyperxAsus P6T Deluxe V2Evga GTX 580 I use FSX with following addons:REXUTXGEXASEFS global 2010Many Aerosoft airportsPMDG MD11 & J41 (soon NGX )Leonado Maddog 2010 PRO I have tweaked my FSX.CFG with Bojote's tweaker. But anyway i dont get more than max 20 fps in some greater airports like ENGM, EDDF ect. In cruise or as soon as i leave the airport, the fps raises to minimum 25.I have tryed to change my affitymask to 8, bufferpools13072 and 1, with and without FPS limiter set to 30. I use WOAI set to 70% and GA=0% Other traffic=0%Could i have something to do with my Harddisk? Monitor?(1280x1024x32) All help will be appreciated. August 3, 201114 yr With your rig, 20FPS in complex scenery and complex aircraft isn't too bad. That being said;Your hardware looks pretty good. How's your cooling. With that OC'ed 920 you will need someting other than the stock intel fan. The RAM is a little slow and you might try clocking it. It's easily done on the P6T D V2.Change that affinity mask to 14. You are using 8 which is 1000, that means cores 1, 2, and 3 are off and core 4 is on.14 = 1110 which means core 1 is off and 2, 3, 4 are on.Over heavy scenery areas with complex aircraft, set your FPS to Unlimited. In medium areas try 60 and in light areas 30.There is some thought that this is a better way to go : [bufferpools]RejectThreshhold=131072UsePools=0 Move your scenery sliders to the left, especially water and clouds. Every rig is a little different in that some tweaks will help, some may not. You can find many opinions on that.Whatever you do, always backup your FSX.cfg file before you change it. Joe Brown
