Do AOA Videos count as complete overviews?

Featured Replies

According to PMDG last November this is what they had to say back then about NGX: "UPDATED 29NOV10PMDG has a long standing tradition prohibiting us from providing release dates in advance. We do this in order to prevent "schedule pressure" from influencing our decisions related to product readiness for market.Right now, (as of 29NOV10) we can only say that the PMDG 737NGX will release "soon." Our previous guidance had been that we anticipated the release taking place during 2010, but as we transition from internal to external testing, we cannot consider any artificial deadlines imposed by the calendar, as these may negatively impact final product quality. Our goal is to provide you with a high quality, complete, problem-free 737 simulation experience, and we feel that the PMDG 737NGX will set an entirely new standard for desktop flight simulation. We understand that it is difficult for some customers to await this release, but we promise that the wait will be worth the final product! You can generally tell when the product is getting close to release because we start showing you very complete overviews of the airplane in our customer support forum." Just wondering if the AOA videos is what they are considering as complete overviews?

Hello Carmine, They're about to release the aircraft so I suspect that's as complete as we're going to get without signing up for the AOA training package in full.

Best Regards,

Dan Parkin.

Yes because they have shown every aspect of the plane and shown it in full operation. But guys, please, the release date is still set for tomorrow and we will be informed if it changes. Can we please stop with the over-analyzing of whether we are close to release? It's getting very ridiculous...

Ah, but it isn't. "On or before" without any unforseen circumstances is not setting a release date is it? Coming on here and saying "chaps and chapesses, we're releasing at 12:00GMT tomorrow." That's setting a release date. Hence the speculation and excitement.

True, I guess it doesn't mean anything until it's released Sorry if the last post came off harsh...just sick of seeing all the topics that don't say "PMDG NGX Released!" tongue.png Actually, I'm lucky enough to be enjoying Disneyland right now to get my mind off of the release. laugh.png
