December 23, 200322 yr Hi people.Early this day I had planned a flight from Amsterdam to Bologna in Italia. But when i past the LNO VORTAC (Olno vor) i had "again" a CTD!This problem have to be illuminated! Please tell me if FS9 have a patch for it.Because this is annoying.Regards,Ramon.
December 23, 200322 yr Are you by any chance running Chris' frame freindly clouds(dxt version) and have "render to texture" unchecked in FS. If so, this is your problem.
December 23, 200322 yr There are also issues with third party mesh scenery (FSGenesis, Lago, to name a few) and some airports throughout the world during certain seasons. If you attempt your flight in the middle of the summer season, do you still get the crash?Do a search for CTD and Mesh (or Lago, FSGenesis), and you'll come across some threads which can help that problem. (The problem seems to lie with the FS2004 method of texturing, as opposed to the third party scenery)I had the seasonal/mesh CTD and the thread fixed it perfectly. -Greg
December 23, 200322 yr ok thanks i will check it.And for the aircrafts i use:IFDG both 767 and MD11.POSKY aircraft, such as A330-B743-B744.In a few days the PMDG B737.FFX B737-500 from LH (wich i will delete)PSS A340regards,Ramon.
December 23, 200322 yr All of those are aftermarket aircraft. MS DEFINITELY won't be responsible for CTD's!Look for a memory error.Allcott
December 23, 200322 yr Hi all,I've been having a lot of the CTD issue (bug). Applied the seasonal patch (from a german site) and all ctd have been corrected in about 90%, but there are still some other few. Last weekend I reinstalled the whole system, including FS. Checked memory sticks. Checked fans. etc etc. Everything seems perfect. It's a new system. I'm not very confident though. During my first flight I experience a CtD without any warning. No messages. The worst part: Everything in FS9 is default. I didn't install a single addon. I've been reading a lot of CtD lately. I wouldn't discard the idea that is really a bug and that MS should listen.
